Timely Truths – Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the Helper that Jesus promised to send us. All of Scripture is inspired by the Spirit and that Scripture bears witness to our Savior. The Spirit empowers us with Gifts that are to be used to preach the Gospel and build up the Church. It is impossible to follow God unless we are led by the Spirit. He is our Counselor that guides us. He is our Comforter that prays for us. He is the third member of the Trinity: God the Spirit.
